Some basic information about the gate option is as follow. The gate would be installed at the top of the stairs and would be a continuation of the railing, same material. Purchasing the gate would be a way for owners to secure their deck and have additional privacy. If you need any further information please contact Tanya Dion at Ultimate Property.

I also received a letter about the new gates and was surprised since I am not scheduled to have my deck replaced until next year. Why would I put a gate on a deck that is due to be replaced?
I called the Condo Board twice last week requesting more information and as of today September 17. I have not heard back from them (first message left with the receptionist and the second message left on their voice mail, stating I previous left a message).
I would like a gate on my new deck as I have had people on my deck but it sounds a bit pricey.
Will we have the abilty to put a lock on the gate to keep people out?
Will try to call Condo Management again but it is past the deadline now!
I am not an authority to speak on the matter, but I would assume that you got the letter about the gate by mistake and that next year when your deck is replaced you will have the option to purchase a gate then.
The price for the gate is outrageous. I am almost certain that a white metal gate could be purchased and installed for half or less of what they are asking.
I'm sure this will be discussed on the 22nd at the condo meeting.
I have had my deck replaced and the railings put in this week. I am very concerned, the gate spacing is 30 inches, I have a delivery of a couch next week which is 39 inches wide. The couch may be light enough to lift over the rail, but what if it was an appliance, or what happens when moving? We all know the front doors are not an option!!!
I have had the same issue with recieving a call back from the management company. I have left 2 messages and have not received a call back. I hope this will also be addressed at the meeting on the 22nd.
